Noted Malayali filmmaker Ali Akbar has duly converted to Hinduism. On Thursday (January 13, 2022), he along with his wife Lusimma converted to eternal religion. He was now known as Ram Simhan. The Kerala filmmaker had announced his return home in December 2021 when religious fundamentalists even waited for happiness after CDs General Bipin Rawat's helicopter crashed.
Some photos of Ali Akbar and Lusimma have started going viral. In which amidst the purification ceremony, both of them are seen sitting near the Havan Kund and making sacrifices. Meanwhile, Ali Akbar appeared in a white garb, wearing saffron robes on his shoulders and wearing a janeu. Pratish Vishwanath, leader of International Hindu Parishad and Hindu Seva Kendram has said about it on Facebook.
Sharing a picture of Ali Akbar worshipping, Pratheesh Vishwanath wrote, "History is repeating itself. Ali Akbar as Ramsimhan. At the same time, Pratheesh has written #GharWapasi (homecoming) as a hashtag.
An interesting story is also being told behind Ali Akbar's new nomenclature. It is being said that about 8 decades ago, in Malabar, a similar man has renounced Islam and made his name Ram Simhan. After which the religious mob also attacked the man's house alleging blasphemy. Ram Simhan and his brother have been murdered. Other members of his family were forcibly picked up and taken to an undisclosed location by the mob. The incident took place a few weeks before the country's independence.
It may be recalled that after the helicopter crash, Ali Akbar has made a facebook live announcement to abandon Islam. He had said, "It is not going to accept it. That is why I am leaving my religion, neither mine nor my family has any other religion. He came live and said, "I am throwing a piece of clothes I was born with. In fact, when the film director started making live videos on the valour of CDS Rawat, hardcore Islamists have also mocked him by putting thousands of laughing emojis on his video, hurting his feelings. After his announcement, Pratheesh Vishwanath had said that it was great to see the present generation of Islam. Those whose ancestors were forcibly converted are coming back to the roots.
