Leh: Local police have lodged an FIR against Raghil's councilor and Congress leader Zakir Hussain. He is accused of making fun of the martyrs of Galvan and saying indecent things about him. An audiotape of Zakir Hussain related to this has gone viral. In this audio, he is allegedly glorifying the Chinese Army and making fun of the Indian Army. Zakir has been arrested in Kargil.

Zakir Hussain is a councilor of the Ladakh Autonomous Valley Development Council. In this audiotape, he is talking to someone he knows. According to the police, in this conversation, things have been said by the Congress leader to harm the regional and religious harmony. The content of this audiotape is against the Indian Army. In this audiotape, there is a discussion on the violent struggle between soldiers of India China in the Galvan Valley on 15 June. In this audio, Councilor Zakir Hussain is reportedly praising the Chinese army and calling Indian soldiers weak. Zakir is telling his friend that the Chinese army has entered 135 kilometers in Ladakh and killed the Indian soldiers. He has further said that if China takes possession of Pegang Lake, then what will be left with India. There will be many pieces of Ladakh in the coming days. Zakir said, "Everything will be alright. Just take half of Leh to China. Then know what will happen… Modi's mother and sister will be in Delhi… There will be a thousand pieces of Ladakh again. After the initial investigation in this case, Kargil police registered an FIR against Zakir Hussain. Investigation is going on in this case. Kargil Police has urged people not to post inflammatory content on social media platforms. Police has warned of legal action against those who do so. Local BJP leaders had protested in this case and demanded the arrest of Zakir Hussain. However, the Congress has not responded to this alleged audiotape of Zakir Hussain.
