Massive fire break out at Janjgir's house, two children killed

Janjgir: Two children were killed in a major fire that broke out in a house in Khisora village of Aklatara area early Thursday morning. The father of the children and his cousin were also seriously injured. Both have been referred to Sims in 90 per cent scorching condition. Where they are less likely to survive. The cause of the fire is not known, but the entire house is smelling of kerosene.

According to information, Gopi Banjare, a resident of Khisora village, was sleeping in the same room with his two children Veer Banjare (7) and Vivek (5) and nephew Roshan Banjare. Jabik Gopi's brother Ghanshyam was sleeping outside. Meanwhile, at about 3 a.m., Gopi walked out of the room shouting in scorching condition. Hearing the noise, people nearby rushed to the spot and started trying to extinguish the fire. Police and fire brigade rushed to the spot on a tip off.

At the same time, however, by then the entire house had been burnt completely. The police and fire brigade team entered the room and found the bodies of two children lying in the room. Both the children died on the spot due to the falling of the burning roof. The nephew was in a critical condition. Police rushed Gopi and Roshan to the hospital from an ambulance, but both were referred to Sims for serious condition. In view of the seriousness of the case, additional SPs also reached the spot.
