New Delhi: Former Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as 'Prachanda', will visit the BJP headquarters on Sunday (July 17). Here, he will meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief JP Nadda and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The meeting is part of the BJP's 'Know BJP' programme.

In fact, on April 6, the BJP launched this campaign, under which it introduces foreign diplomats to the party leaders and makes them aware of the BJP's ideology and history. According to BJP Foreign Cell President Vijay Chauthaiwala, Communist Party of Nepal chief Prachanda has been invited by JP Nadda. This is the Nepali leader's second visit to the BJP headquarters. Earlier, PM Sher Bahadur Deuba along with his ministers had met JP Nadda and other party leaders. Chauthutiwala said that ''earlier we used to invite diplomats to the group. We want discussion with the leaders of all political parties of Nepal.''

Let me tell you that Prachanda is the only communist leader who has been the Prime Minister of Nepal twice. In his first term, he was closer to China. In such a situation, he did not have good relations with India, but when he became the PM for the second time, he gave preference to India over China. The relations between India and Nepal improved during his tenure.
