New Delhi: Former PM Manmohan Singh's statement has come out regarding the ongoing dispute between India and China on the border. He has said that this is the time to unite as a country. Manmohan Singh advised PM Modi that he should be careful while giving his statement.

In a letter written to PM Modi, former PM Manmohan Singh has said that twenty courageous soldiers of India made the supreme sacrifice in Ladakh. These brave soldiers, performing their duty with indomitable courage, laid down their lives for the defense of the nation. These sons of the country protected the motherland till their last breath. We are grateful to these soldiers and their families for this supreme sacrifice. But their sacrifice should not go in vain.

He said that today we are standing at a critical juncture in history. The decisions of our government and the steps taken by the government will determine how the generations will see us. Those who are leading the country have a duty on their shoulders. In our democracy, this is the responsibility of the Prime Minister of the country. PM Modi should always be very cautious about the impact that his words and proclamations will have on the security and strategic and terrestrial interests of the country.
