Two illegal telephone exchanges were busted being operated from Than, Mumbai. They have been arrested as they were using these from the last one and a half year. Four people were involved.

The loss calculated by the national department of telecommunication Is about 58 crore rupees. Which was assimilated only from one of the fraud sites.

The police along with Department of telecommunication carried out raids in Thane region of Mumbai.

The police raided house of the accused who is 28 years old and found the rumors to be true that he was running telephone exchange illegally.

139 sim cards, 1 laptop, 5 machines used to internationally connect through routers were seized. On further investigation, the accused accepted that one more such exchange was being run from Mumbra.

On raiding in Mumbra, three routers, one laptop, 95 sim cards and five internationally connecting routers were found.

Two more men are yet to be found in the case, material goods worth more than 3 lakhs were found on both raids. The court date has been scheduled for 24^th April until then the convicts are under police remand.The Mumbai police along with the anti terrorism squad busted the business in Mumbai. The localities have been questioned too if they knew anything about this matter.
