Uttar Pradesh: On Tuesday, Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan said that 32 thousand samples should be examined according to the state's population, while almost four times more tests have been done. Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad said that according to WHO standard, 14 tests per lakh population should be done daily, on the basis of which 32 thousand tests are being done every day according to the state's population. He told that four times the tests are being done every day in the state.
Similarly, the state has been successful in maintaining the standard of positivity rate below 5 percent. He said that between August 1- August 23, the positivity rate of corona patient in Uttar Pradesh remained 4.8 percent. Mohan said that the work of corona testing is being done in the state at a rapid pace.
India's highest-ever test of 1,21,553 samples has been done in 24 hours. So far, 46,74,620 samples have been tested in the state. He said that the positive rate of corona patients in the state in August remained 4.8 percent. He said that there are 49,288 active cases of corona in the state, in which 24,482 patients are in home isolation, 2,134 people in private hospitals and 269 patients in the semi-paid facility.
The Additional Chief Secretary said that so far 77,608 people have been kept in home isolation, out of which 53,126 people have become healthy. So far, 1,40,107 patients have been fully recovered in the state. He said that the current recovery rate in the state is 72. 82 percent.
