New Delhi: On this day, in 1630, Chhatrapati Shivaji, one of the great rulers of the country and the great Hindu warrior who shook the roots of the Mughals, was born. On the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj today, many veteran leaders have paid homage to him. Due to this, PM Narendra Modi has paid a heartfelt tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 392nd birth anniversary. He tweeted: "I bow to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. His outstanding leadership and emphasis on social welfare have been inspiring people for generations. He didn't compromise when it came to standing up for the values of truth and justice. We are committed to fulfilling their vision.''

At the same time, Amit Shah remembered Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and wrote- "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the protector of the religion flag, is the inspiration of the nation. He made Indian Vasundhara proud by establishing good governance on the pillars of religion, nationhood, justice and welfare of the people. On Shiva Jayanti, I bow at the feet of the unique embodiment of wonderful bravery and patriotism.''

The same Rahul Gandhi has also paid tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he tweeted, "Salutations to the brave, mighty Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary. Fearlessness is the most effective weapon in the face of arrogance and injustice.''
