New Delhi: On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Country's Chief Justice N V Ramana said that the constitution of the country promotes debate. It is only through good debate that the country can progress and the good of the common people can be done. CJI Ramana appealed to the lawyers to protect the judiciary and respond to the attack on it.

He said this country can progress only through the right to freedom and equality. Justice Ramana said that it is the responsibility of all of us to convey the basic message of the Constitution to the new generation. CJI Ramana also appealed to lawyers to fight cases for social work free of cost. PM Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated the countrymen on the occasion of Constitution Day and also shared a part of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's speech during the bill introduced in the Constituent Assembly to adopt the Constitution.

PM Modi said in a tweet, 'Happy Constitution Day.' He said in another tweet, citing views expressed by the country's first President, Dr Rajendra Prasad, that no matter how beautiful, streamlined and strengthened a Constitution is, if it is true of the country, If there are no selfless servants, the Constitution cannot do anything.
