English Premier League players and coaches may want enough time to practice before the matches, but in spite of this Britain's Culture Minister Oliver Dowden is expected to start the football championship by the middle of June. Following the guidelines for maintaining social distance, the club week of the Premier League has signed a 'protocol' to return to practice. The last match of the top league in England was played on March 9 and Newcastle coach Steve Bruce said that if the matches start before the last week of June, then their players could get injured. Rahim Sterling, a member of the England national team, has also expressed concern about the early start of the matches. According to reports, the Premier League may return from June 12.

LeagueDowden said that public safety is still a priority but he also hoped to start the league in a month. "My FA (Football Association), EFL (English Football League) on Thursday had a constructive chat with the Premier League. He said, 'We are working together with him to return. Our aim is to return by the middle of June, but our first priority will still be the safety of the people. Deputy Sports Minister Lethys Evgenakis said, "League matches will be held without spectators and everyone will have to follow the advice of health experts."
