Gorakhpur: The investigation into the murderous attack on two PAC personnel deployed in security at the famous Gorakhnath temple in Uttar Pradesh late on Sunday evening has intensified. In the Gorakhnath temple attack case, the UP Police have two pieces of the saying that the attack can be called a terrorist attack. There could be a big conspiracy behind this attack. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar and ACS Home Avneesh Awasthi have said this while addressing a press conference.
Prashant Kumar has said that the accused has raised religious slogans along with the attack. He had shouted Allah hu Akbar. The investigation of the case is still in the preliminary stages. The accused, Ahmed Murtaza, and his family members are being questioned. The police are also looking into the case by linking it to a terror plot and are also investigating it in detail. The attacker and those related to him will not be spared. At the same time, CM Yogi Adityanath has announced to give Rs 5 lakh to the injured jawans. Avneesh Awasthi said that both the jawans have prevented a major attack by showing bravery, therefore, CM Yogi has rewarded them and instructed them to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Let us know that the investigation of this case has just been handed over to the ATS. If required, the cooperation of more investigating agencies can also be taken. Right now, the police and security agencies are investigating the seriousness of the case. In the interrogation so far, Murtaza seems to be giving a evasive answer. The family has also not been able to provide any medical proof yet. Meanwhile, quoting sources, it is being reported that central investigating agencies are also engaged in searching for Murtaza's terror links.
