The governor and mayor have become increasingly concerned about the closure of schools in New York. This controversy has deepened due to the remaining academic session due to Corona epidemic. Tell that while Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced the closure of the school, Governor Andrew Kumo has said that he only has the right to take any such decision. Academics have objected to the conflicting statements of the two big leaders. New York province remains the epicenter of the Corona epidemic in America.

On Saturday, Mayor Blasio announced the closure of the school in a press conference. He said, this decision has been taken because New York City is battling the Corona epidemic. Blasio ordered the schools to be closed on 16 March to prevent the spread of infection. Schools were to reopen on April 20, but due to the outbreak of the epidemic, the decision was made to keep the schools closed for the rest of the session. Hours after Blasio's announcement, the province's governor Kumo questioned the mayor's announcement.

In his statement, he said, no decision has been taken on the announcement of closure of schools. Blasio cannot decide to close schools on his behalf without consulting the rest of the metropolitan area. It does not come under their jurisdiction
