New Delhi: These days, The Kashmir Files, a film on the horrific massacre of Kashmiri Hindus and their painful exodus, is in the news a lot. People are constantly giving feedback about this. Not only this, now the name of a school has also been changed due to this film. A municipal school in North Delhi has been renamed after Tika Lal Taplu, a Kashmiri Pandit leader who was shot dead 33 years ago in Srinagar.

A program was organized by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on Sunday. Union Minister Jitendra Singh was present as the chief guest in the program. NDMC Education Committee head Dr. Alok Sharma said that the name of 'NDMC Primary School 7-B' located in Sector-7 of Rohini has been changed to 'Shaheed Teeka Lal Taplu'. He was an unsung hero. This is a tribute from our side to the late leader. Dr. Alok Sharma said that he had proposed to rename the school after Kashmiri Pandit Tika Lal Taplu, which the Mayor gave the green signal.

Who was Tika Lal Taplu?

Let us tell you that Taplu was shot dead in 1989 in Srinagar. This incident has also been mentioned in the film 'The Kashmir Files'. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley and after that there was heavy violence. After this elections were held in 1996. It was manipulated by the National Conference and the Congress. On this occasion, Mayor of North Delhi Raja Iqbal Singh, BJP MLA Vijender Gupta were present. MLA Vijender Gupta said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has not only refused to declare 'The Kashmir Files' as a tax free film, but has also shown insensitivity towards Kashmiri Hindus by laughing at the massacre.
