At present, Corona's havoc in Gujarat is spreading rapidly. Now in the meantime festivals are also coming, but before that Gujarat government has released new guidelines for festivals. Yes, the Government of Gujarat has issued a guideline for the celebrations for Navratri Garba, Dussehra, Diwali, Gujarati New Year and Sharad Purnima. It is being said that these guidelines and decisions of the state government will have to be implemented from October 15, 2020.

According to the new guidelines released, no garba can be held in the state during Navratri. Simultaneously it is also stated that in Navaratri the garba / idol can be installed and worshiped in a public open place, but photos or idols cannot be touched now Prasad can be distributed. With this, there will be a ban on large events like fairs, rallies, exhibitions, Ravana Dahan, Ramlila, Shobha Yatra, where a large number of people gathered. Further, the guideline also states that no more than 200 people can gather anywhere and that the programs will be of one hour duration only.

The guideline states that plans for social, educational sports, entertainment, cultural activities, religious ceremonies in areas other than containment zones will also be subject to certain areas. Also, according to the rule, floor marking would be required with a distance of six feet. It has also been said that the face should be properly covered at all times during the entire ceremony. Apart from this, the facility of thermal scanner, sanitizer as well as stage, mic, chair and oxy meter facilities should be periodically sanitized. Along with this, everyone has to carry handwash, sanitizer with them.

Apart from this, spitting and consumption of pan-masala and gutkha will be completely banned during the ceremony. Further the guideline also states that children above 60 years of age and below 10 years of age, pregnant women as well as people suffering from other diseases should not participate in such ceremonies.
