Ahmedabad: Policemen were attacked by a mob in Kapdavanj in Gujarat on Tuesday. In fact, the police had stopped the crowd from offering prayers collectively. According to media reports, The Lions had reached Ali masjid near the club in Kapdavanj to follow social distancing. But things got worse and took a violent turn.

According to the report, the mob stormed the Kundav police post and the town police station. Two bikes and a car were burnt by the mob. At the same time, the mob also destroyed the Kundav police station. The mob then attacked the town police station and started pelting stones. Police had to resort to tear gas to control the violent mob. However, the crowd was still out of control. Finally, additional forces were called in and the situation was controlled.
