Co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the chief of Jamaat-ud-Da'wah Hafiz Saeed was in scrutiny under house arrest by a Pakistani official.

Recently, a resource revealed that Hafiz is demanding to remove his name from the list, which bars him from leaving Pakistan. Hafeez in his statement claimed that he was neither detained in security risks nor his outfits showed that he is a part of the terrorist organization.

As per the reports, Saeed wrote a letter to the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, in which he said, "A memorandum issued on January 30, 2017, placing 38 individuals should be withdrawn forthwith."

Saeed further added, "The JuD has never been involved in any terrorist activity in Pakistan and no incident of any terrorism or destruction of property was ever alleged against the organization."

In addition, Saeed informed internal ministry about the case filed in 2009 saying that, "In the present case the government is not in possession of any evidence that the petitioners are a risk to the security of Pakistan and merely on the basis of the UN Resolution their liberty cannot be curtailed."
