Bhopal: The efforts of the government in reviving the micro, small and medium (MSME) industries are not proving successful. The industrialists say that the government has said a lot, but is not doing it. Due to this, work is not being started in the industries. Even after a month's relentless efforts of the government, only 40% of the industries' locks are open in the state.

Production has started in only five thousand industries among them. They further say that instead of getting loans from banks and getting all the guarantees, if only the money gets stuck in government departments, then the industries should get back on track. About five hundred crore rupees is trapped in the department which is not being paid due to corona infection. There are 22,885 small-medium industries in the state. 55% of these industries are dependent on big industries.

Supporting parts are made in these industries. For example, BHEL makes large appliances. Some of their parts are manufactured in factories in Govindpura. While 45% of the industries make everyday appliances and goods including medical, stationery, sanitizer, floor cleaner. Most of these industries provide government supplies.
