The new strain of the covid-19 virus in the United Kingdom is a matter of concern worldwide. To prevent this on the occasion of New Year, all activities are being banned. Many countries including India have restricted air travel to and from Britain. In many states, big level events have also been banned. Recently returned people from Britain and their contact are being traced. In view of this type of situation, strict guidelines are being issued regarding the New Year Celebration in all parts of the country. Many authorities are banning the celebration of New Year Party here. The guidelines issued by different states and districts on New Year celebrations.

Maharashtra - The Maharashtra government has set a 7-hour night curfew in the state from December 22 to January 5. This curfew will be from 11 am to 6 am. New Year celebrations are banned in public places in all major districts of Maharashtra. No church is allowed to go more than 50 people. Admission to the church is prohibited after 8 o'clock at night.

Karnataka: Karnataka government has imposed restrictions on the conduct of the New Year celebrations in pubs, clubs and restaurants from December 30 to January 2nd. The night curfew has been lifted recently from 10 am to 6 am, but large-scale events are still banned. In view of the new strain of the virus, some strict rules will apply from December 31 and January 1.

Uttar Pradesh - Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida) district administration has also issued special guidelines regarding New Year Celebration. These guidelines will be equally applicable to all areas of the city including Noida. Organizers of New Year parties have been asked to submit their details to the concerned DCP. They have been told to follow corona's protocol and not to gather more than 100 people in one place. Drone cameras will be used to monitor programs and the use of sound systems should also be subject to court orders.

Uttarakhand - The district administration of Dehradun has issued strict instructions regarding public programs on New Year's Eve. These instructions will be equally applicable to all pubs, bars and restaurants in Dehradun, Rishikesh and Mussoorie. According to the district officials, anyone violating the rules will be prosecuted under the provisions related to the Indian Penal Code, including the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Epidemic Diseases Act.

Himachal Pradesh - Night curfew will be applicable till 8 January in 8 major cities of Himachal Pradesh. It includes places like Shimla, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi.

Manipur- from November Manipur evening apply Night curfew from 6 pm until 4 AM. The state government will continue this night curfew in the evening of New Year and till further orders come. The district administration of Manipur has allowed New Year celebrations in public places during the day.

Odisha- Odisha ban several types of the celebration of the New Year in Bhubaneswar. Parties will be banned in pubs, hotels and restaurants. Officers have asked people to stay in the house and celebrate New Year.

Tamil Nadu - The state government has banned New Year celebrations at clubs, resorts, restaurants and even Beaches. This ban will be from 31 December to 1 January. No night curfew has been imposed, but people's favourite Marine Beach will be closed on New Year's Eve.

Punjab- The Punjab government has implemented a night curfew from 10 am to 5 am, which will remain in force till 1 January. The Punjab government issued a guideline on December 11, prohibiting the entry of 100 people into indoor gatherings and 250 into outdoor gatherings.

Rajasthan- The Rajasthan government has announced a curfew from 8 pm to 1 pm on 31 December. This ban will apply to all the districts of Rajasthan with a population of more than one lakh. The state government has asked the markets to be closed by 7 pm. Sale of firecrackers and celebrations in public places will also be banned.
