New Delhi: On the completion of one year of three agricultural laws of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), a protest was going to be held in Delhi today i.e. Though all of them were stopped by the police at the Delhi border, some people have somehow entered Delhi. Delhi Police is said to have installed barricades on the border and now Akali Dal leaders are sitting on the border and considering further strategy. On the other hand, police have diverted several routes in view of the demonstration. According to a report on a Mashuhar website, clashes have also taken place between protesters and Delhi Police personnel at some places.
Strongly condemn Delhi police for sealing entry points to national capital & detaining @Akali_Dal_ workers reaching Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib. Receiving phone calls & videos telling how Police trying to foil protest march to Parl against 3 Farm Laws. It's an undeclared EMERGENCY! pic.twitter.com/lhHwMMTtqa

Let me tell all of you that last Thursday, the Akali Dal had informed that the protest march would be taken out from Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib to Parliament House which will be led by Shi'ite chief Sukhbir Badal and former Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. All of you must be aware that all the three Agricultural Laws were passed in Parliament on 17th September 2020 and Harsimrat resigned from the Union Council of Ministers in protest. Recently, Shi'ite leader and former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, "Many farmers have been killed and many are still sitting on the borders of the state but this government (Centre) is indifferent. We will continue our fight till the three agricultural laws are repealed.''
My ardas to Guru Sahiban before marching towards Parliament House is to bless the farmer's movement with victory. Their long and hard ordeal has worn them out but their spirit remains intact. They deserve all the success in their fight for their rights. #KhatirKisaniDatteAkali pic.twitter.com/nUxzBqgRL5

In addition, Harsimrat Kaur Badal shared a video related to the incident and leveled serious allegations against the Central government. "There is an undeclared emergency in the country," he says. You can see Harsimrat Badal writing on his Twitter cliff, "It is highly condemnable for Delhi Police to seal entry points of the city and detain Akali Dal workers reaching Gurudwara Rakab Ganj. I have phone calls and videos coming in. They explain how the police want to thwart this march against three agricultural laws. It is like an undeclared emergency.''
Massive participation in today's march shows the public's anger. Farmers have been protesting at the Delhi border for a year, but the Centre is keen on quashing them. We are proud to have quit the NDA. @Akali_Dal_ will continue to resist despotism. #KhatirKisaniDatteAkali pic.twitter.com/xWI39CtZwG
