Chandigarh: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab. Vij said the government that has come up in Punjab is a "children's party". They don't have a complete understanding of the issues. "Even the milk teeth of the Punjab government have not been broken yet. This party was born out of deception. Nowhere in Anna Hazare's movement was there an agenda that a political party would be formed.''

In fact, on Friday, a resolution was passed in the Punjab Assembly demanding the immediate transfer of Chandigarh to the state. Reacting to this, Anil Vij said that there is an issue in Chandigarh, but it is not the only issue. Along with this, there is also the issue of water of SYL, Hindi there are issues of the speaking area, then all of them will be decided, not of anyone. The Punjab government's proposal says, "Punjab was reconstituted through the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966, in which the State of Punjab was restructured into the State of Punjab, the State of Haryana, the Union Territory of Chandigarh and some parts of Punjab went to the then Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh.''

As per the proposal, since then a balance has been maintained in the shared assets such as the administration of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), by giving management posts in some proportion to the candidates of Punjab and Haryana. With its many recent steps, the Central Government is trying to disturb this balance.
