Bhopal: Monsoon has once again hit several states of India. Rain is currently continuing in several states and Union Territories. Kerala is also on the same list where heavy rains have disrupted normal life. A red alert was sounded in 5 districts of Kerala last Saturday and the MET department has also issued an orange alert for 7 other districts. At present, many people have died in Kerala and many are missing.

Many people are still said to be missing due to landslides in Kottayam. On the other hand, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought help from the Indian Air Force to carry out relief and rescue operations. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in 16 other States and Union Territories. The list includes Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The MET department says it is likely to rain by October 19. In fact, the MET department has said, "Southeast Arabian Sea and some parts of Kerala have another pressurised area. Another low-pressure area remains in north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas.''

This low-pressure cyclonic circulation is generally likely to move towards the northwest i.e. It is also said that rain is likely to occur in Maharashtra on 17th and Madhya Pradesh on 17th and 18th October. Uttarakhand will receive heavy rain between October 17 and 19. With this, rain is likely to occur in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, Chandigarh and East Rajasthan on October 17 and 18 on October 17.
