Mumbai: The rain has created havoc in the economic capital Mumbai. The Met department has issued an alert for heavy rain on Tuesday. According to the Met department, heavy rain is likely to occur in Mumbai and its adjoining areas even today. The department has also issued warnings for  heavy rain as well as high tides.

Waves of 4.35 meters high are feared to rise in the sea during the period. Fishermen have also been instructed to stay away from the sea. It is worth mentioning here that many schools and colleges in Mumbai were put on leave on Monday and many schools are still locked up. Roads have been flooded due to rain which has also badly affected traffic. On the other hand, the government has also urged them not to leave their homes unless necessary and avoid going to the busy route as much as possible.

The government has urged people to know the condition of roads once before leaving their homes, as traffic is disrupted in many places due to flooding on roads. Normal life has been badly affected due to continuous rain in Mumbai over the past few days. Strong winds are also causing trouble for the people. The Met Department had issued an alert on Saturday to inform the people about the possibility of heavy rains and advised people not to leave their homes without any urgent work.
