BANGALORE: Bangalore experienced heavy rain on Thursday, which caused several places to flood and severely disrupted daily life.
Since Wednesday night, the city has been battered by torrential rain, which has flooded the streets and residential areas and caused walls to collapse.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow signal for the state capital that will last for three days, thus the officials are crossing their fingers. Up until the early hours, the city was being pummelling by heavy rain.
Public indignation was caused when a wall near the BMRCL building site near the JD(S) party office collapsed. In the event, seven cars and two bikes were destroyed. Two people in the automobile that was parked next to the wall narrowly avoided being hurt.
Residential areas in Indiranagar II Stage, HAL Layout in Indiranagar, and HSR Layout have been flooded by rain.
Bikes and parked cars in front of the residences had been submerged by the downpour. As water entered their homes, homeowners in several regions experienced great inconvenience.
Due to waterlogging, many vehicles were left stuck on the roads. The owners of two-wheelers experienced a terrifying situation as the water level on the roadways in the Shivajinagar Old Market area rose and their vehicles began to flow with the precipitation.
The rain had a significant impact on the areas of Shantinagar, Jayanagar, Vijayanagar, Mysuru Road, Majestic, City Market, Rajajinagar, Kengeri, Uttarahalli, Yelahanka, and Hebbal. The areas that recently suffered flood fury, Mahadevapura and Bengaluru East, recorded 60 to 80 mm of rainfall.
