Delhi overflows in an hour's rain, waterlogging on roads

New Delhi: Monsoon has taken entry in Delhi-NCR. According to the MET department, the monsoon has hit Gurugram in Delhi and Haryana. Delhi-NCR received rainfall on Tuesday morning leading to a drop in temperature. This rain and cold winds brought relief from the scorching heat of the people. The heat of the heat had disturbed people here for the past several days.

 

 

With the entry of the monsoon in Delhi, the problems of the rainy season are also beginning to emerge. Rainwater from 7 is to 8.30 am on Tuesday inundated the entire capital. Waterlogging was observed on the roads in many places. Safdarjung recorded 2.5 MM rainfall, Ayanagar 1.3 MM, Palam 2.4 MM, Ridge Area 1.0 MM, and Lodhi Road 1.94 MM. Roads were blocked due to waterlogging in several areas of Delhi after heavy rains.

 

 

Traffic was jammed due to waterlogging on Mathura Road. Meanwhile, people in many places including Sarita Vihar, Delhi Cantt, Central Delhi are suffering due to waterlogging. Heavy rain caused jams on NH-9 in Delhi. People are facing a lot of problems as water fills the busiest living roads of Delhi under an AIIMS flyover. Many trains were seen crawling due to water-logging here.
