Jammu: Minister of State for Home Affairs in Lok Sabha Nityanand Rai has said that a high level committee of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has also been constituted to find out the reasons behind the stampede at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. After the accident, RFID based crowd management system, additional CTV cameras, additional deployment of JK Police and CRPF personnel have been made.

On January 1, 12 devotees lost their lives in a stampede at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhavan. People from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir were also present here. A three-member team is investigating the matter.

According to the information received so far, it is also headed by the Principal Secretary Home. With which ADGP Jammu Zone and Divisional Commissioner Jammu are its members. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others expressed grief after the tragic accident.
