New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the issues related to the final list of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam. After the meeting, the Home Ministry said in a statement that those who did not appear in the NRC would be given a chance. The review meeting was attended by several officials including Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of Assam.

However, the Supreme Court has ordered the completion of the National Citizen Register (NRC) in Assam by August 31. A bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has asked Assam NRC coordinator Pratik Hazela to complete the work regardless of the criticisms. Because on the NRC, people will continue to speak. The NRC draft released last year had 40 million people out. These were people who could not produce evidence related to their citizenship at that time.

He has been given a chance to submit documents to be included in the NRC list later. All eyes are now on the Data of the National Citizen Register, which is going to be finally published. The question is whether all 40 lakh people will be taken out of the country or all will be treated as Indian citizens after testing the documents. On the question of Bangladeshi infiltrators, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said during his election rallies that those who fail to prove citizenship will be deported to Bangladesh.
