AHMEDABAD: A 22-year-old guy from Rajasthan has been arrested by the Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Cell on suspicion of setting a honey trap, pretending to be a CBI agent, and extorting Rs 2,69,32,000 from a businessman.
Ajit Rajian, the deputy commissioner of police in charge of the cybercrime unit, said that Talim Khan, 22, of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, was detained on Thursday.

The accused, an 11th grader, is accused of adding the Ahmedabad-based businessman as a friend on WhatsApp under the name "Riya." He once recorded the businessman in his undies for the purpose of virtual sex, which he then utilised as a kind of blackmail and extortion.

A few days later, he called the businessman pretending to be a CBI agent and said that Riya, with whom he had virtual sex, had committed suicide as a result of the naked video clip, and her family had filed a complaint, meaning he may be arrested.\

He was coerced into sending Rs 2.69 crore to several different bank accounts by Talim Khan, who demanded payment in order for him to avoid being arrested.
