How BSF Fires on Suspected Pakistan Drone near LoC in J-K's Poonch

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire on a suspected Pakistani drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. According to officials, the alert border guards at Khanetar garrison detected drone activity around 11:30 pm on Tuesday.

The troops fired more than three dozen rounds to bring down the drone. Following the incident, a high alert was issued and the area was cordoned off. This morning, a massive search operation was launched to sanitize the area.

In a related development, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has offered a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh for information about drones coming from across the border, especially those suspected of carrying weapons and narcotics.

Mute Woman from PoK Detained in Rajouri

On May 29, the Indian Army detained a 45-year-old mute woman from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) along the Line of Control in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. She belongs to Sakhi Nath village in Kotli district of PoK, as per her recovered identity card. Officials believe she inadvertently crossed into Indian territory.
