Sambhal: Samajwadi Party's (SP) Lok Sabha MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke has taken a rebellious attitude against his own party. Shafiqur Rahman instructed SP President Akhilesh Yadav to work honestly after declaring him as a candidate on SP ticket in the body elections and said that even he (Shafiqur Rahman) can show his strength if he does not work honestly. With this, the MP has given an open challenge to the party and the SP MLA.

According to the report, MP Shafiqur Rahman was addressing an election rally on Thursday night in Mian Sarai, the hometown of SP MLA Iqbal Mehmood. This election meeting was organized in support of the candidate declared by him. He said that Akhilesh Yadav had promised his candidate to contest elections independently, but now SP has given ticket to MLA Iqbal's wife Rukhsana Iqbal. Shafiqur Rahman further said that Akhilesh Yadav did not do it right, but he too is not afraid of Akhilesh. If the party wants, it can also expel them, but it will not make any difference. 

Claiming in this election meeting, Shafiqur Rahman said that the public will lick the dust of the SP candidate in the municipal elections. Along with this, MP Burke appealed to all the workers to make independent candidate Farhana victorious with maximum votes. He told in the gathering that he had talked to SP President Akhilesh Yadav regarding the ticket of independent candidate Farhana. At that time, Akhilesh had assured to contest the elections as an independent candidate. He also had no objection in this, but now in protest against his (Shafiqur Rahman) candidate, he fielded the SP candidate as well. The SP MP warned that he is safe, the people will definitely answer him.

Shafiqur Rahman said that he is openly with his candidate Farhana, he has no fear from Akhilesh Yadav for this. He said that he never worked out of fear and will not do so in the future. For this, if the SP wants, it can also throw them out. This will not affect his health. Advising Akhilesh Yadav to work honestly, he said that we have the power to fight.
