Barmer: Pandit's body was found hanging in the temple in Barmer, Rajasthan. The deceased was a pandit of this temple. A suicide note has also been received from the spot, in which the priest has written about defaming himself. The police have accused the people of a society of defaming him. In Samdari town of Barmer district, the body of Pandit Bhimdas (55) of Hinglaj Mata temple was found hanging on the noose in the temple itself on Wednesday morning. After the morning aarti, the priest was staying in the temple. When people came to visit the temple, they found priest Bhimdas hanging from the hook of the fan. 

The same people brought the priest from the noose and immediately took him to the hospital. But by then the priest had died. According to people, the incident happened around 10 am. The news of the priest committing suicide created a ruckus in the area. Police were informed about the suicide of the priest. The police, who reached the spot, have also received a suicide note written by the priest. In which it is written that "I have not stolen, I want to live but people of Khatri community are defaming me."

It is worth noting that there was a theft in the temple only 2 days ago. In this theft, unidentified thieves ran away by taking the temple offering (cash) in addition to 7 kg of silver from the temple. The theft was being blamed on the priest Bhimdas. The police had also questioned Pandit on suspicion of theft. Due to his own defamation, the priest committed suicide in the temple on Wednesday. After the death of the father, the priest's son and brother have made serious allegations against the people of the Khatri community and the police of Samdari town. The son has said that my father was being harassed. That's why he committed suicide. Strict action should be taken against those who harass him. Priest Bhimdas has written in his suicide note that- "I want to live, but I am being defamed... I haven't stolen. Whoever is the thief you find out, I am not lying when I die, don't bother anyone after me, my son 'I don't want to die' But I have been defamed. The reason for my death is Khatri society, take care of the family.''
