The Archery Association of India (AAI), once again under the leadership of Union Minister Arjun Munda, has inherited an empty treasure after suffering the ban for a long time. There is not a single penny in the AAI's treasury, due to which the Federation has asked the archers to go to trial for the selection of the World Cup team.

Usually, the Olympic Union contenders are both money and sponsors in the treasury of the sports association, but the Munda-led archery association does not have a single penny. At the time when the temporary committee was looking after the work of the archery association, the issue also came up that there was no money in the treasure of the union, but liability was raised on it. A union official says that the account of about 60 lakh rupees from the old office-bearers is yet to be accounted for. At this time the Sangh does not even have any sponsor from which to raise money.

With no money, the federation has called compound archers for two World Cups in Sonepat from February 29 to March 2 and trials in Sonepat to select a team of recurve archers for the Junior Asian Championships from February 11 to 13. In a letter written by the Archery Association, it has been said that they will have to make their own living arrangements to play in the trial. They will be made available for the trial only. However, earlier archery association used to pay living and food expenses for such trials.
