Inclusion of AYUSH in school curriculum is most welcome: Dr Swami Sandeep

Hyderabad: "Today's children are the citizens of tomorrow. Children spend a major part of their productive time in school. Knowledge of good health habits and ancient medical systems, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and Homeopathy, will help in their holistic development " Welcoming the proposal of the Union Education Ministry to include AYUSH in the school curriculum, Yadagiri Shekhar Rao of Telangana Residential School Management Association (TRSMA) said.

According to educationists, the introduction of AYUSH in the school curriculum will help in the holistic development of children from an early age. This will help them to select suitable stream in medical field for their higher education, said Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) President Papi Reddy. Dr Swami Sandeep, Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist, BBR Super Specialty Hospital said, “Inclusion of AYUSH in the school curriculum is very welcome.

Because from an early age children will know some basics about human health, development of mind and body, aspect of psychology as well as emotional intelligence. E Prasad Rao said, “The decision to integrate AYUSH in the education system is commendable, academicians, doctors appreciate the move to include AYUSH in the curriculum
