New Delhi: The raids of the Income Tax Department (IT) have been going on for the last 3 days at the offices of the British media agency BBC in Delhi and Mumbai. Income tax proceedings started in both offices on February 14. The department has started this action regarding irregularities in International Tax. Since the raid till now, only this much has been said from the side of the company that they are fully cooperating in the investigation. They hope that the matter will be resolved at the earliest. 

Along with this, the company has instructed its employees to work from home till further notice. BBC's Santacruz office in Mumbai has been raided. The Income Tax officials present on the spot are checking the accounts. At the same time, raids have taken place at the BBC's bureau office in Delhi. According to sources, IT officials have shared a document with BBC. It has been told that the Income Tax Department is allowed to search for 3 days.

Earlier, sources associated with the BBC office informed that when the Income Tax officials raided the Delhi office here, there was a confrontation between the BBC Delhi editors and the Income Tax officials who arrived for action. This heated debate with the IT officers regarding this raid took place on the fact that they are going to check all the systems at the BBC Delhi office.
