New Delhi: India reported 6,822 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with 220 deaths as a result of the Covid-19 virus, according to the Union Health Ministry. In the last 24 hours, the country has seen a total of 10,004 discharges, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,40,79,612.

For the eleventh consecutive day, the daily increase in new coronavirus infections has been less than 10,000, and for 163 days in a row, it has been less than 50,000.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 95,014 (the lowest in 554 days), according to government data released today. So far, the Nationwide Vaccination Drive has administered about 128.76 crore vaccine doses.

The active cases account for 0.27 percent of total infections, the lowest since March 2020, according to the ministry, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.36 percent, the highest since March 2020.
