New Delhi: The number of coronavirus infections across the country is creating a new record every day. India has become the second most corona-affected country in the world, overtaking Brazil. More than 45 lakh cases have been reported. The number of infected in the country has reached beyond 45 lakh 59 thousand. According to covid19india.org, 45,59,725 cases of Corona have been reported so far in the country, of which 33,39,983 have been recovered. However, 76,304 people have also lost their lives. There are currently 9,42,796 active cases in the country.

According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, a record 95,735 new cases have been registered in the country on Thursday. 1172 people have died. After the new cases reported, the number of corona infected has reached 44 lakh 62 thousand. Of these, 75,062 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases has gone up to 9 lakh 19 thousand and 34 lakh 71 thousand people have become healthy. The number of healthy people is almost three times more than the number of active cases of infection.

According to ICMR, a total of 529 million samples of coronavirus have been tested till 9 September, of which 11 lakh samples were tested on Wednesday (9 September). The positivity rate is less than 7 per cent. 54 per cent of the cases of coronavirus are in the age group of 18 years to 44 years, but 51 per cent of deaths due to coronavirus have occurred in people aged 60 years and above.
