New Delhi: The cases of Corona pandemic are still spreading in India at a fast pace in the world. However, it is a matter of relief that the number of people recovering from coronavirus is increasing. In the last 24 hours, 74,442 new corona cases have been reported in the country. According to the latest statistics of the Health Ministry, the total number of corona infected in the country has reached 66 lakh 23 thousand. Out of these, one lakh 2 thousand 685 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases has come down to 9 lakh 34 thousand and a total of 55 lakh 86 thousand people have recovered. The number of people recovered from Coronavirus is about six times more than the number of active cases of COVID19.
According to the ICMR, a total of 799 million samples of coronavirus have been tested till October 4, out of which 10 lakh samples were tested yesterday. The positivity rate is around 7 percent. It is a matter of relief that the death rate and active case rate are steadily declining. The death rate has come down to 1.55 percent. Apart from this, the rate of active cases that are being treated has also come down to 14 percent. The recovery rate in India is 84 percent.
