Ahmedabad: Another case of omicron, the new variant of Covid, has come to light in India. The case was found in Jamnagar in Gujarat. It has been revealed that a person who returned from the African country of Zimbabwe in Jamnagar, Gujarat, has been found infected with a new variant of Covid. The man had returned to Gujarat from Zimbabwe 2 days ago. The investigation at the airport was found to be infected. After which the sample of the patient was sent for genome sequencing. His report has now confirmed that he has been infected with Omicron.

This is the third case of Possible Omicron in India. Earlier on Thursday, 2 cases of new variant of Covid were reported in Karnataka. These patients are 66 and 46 years old. Both have got both doses of the vaccine. Both have common symptoms of covid. One of them has also travelled from India to Dubai.

According to information received so far, samples of 30 people have also been sent for genome sequencing in Maharashtra. As of Friday, 2,821 passengers had come to Mumbai from high risk countries in the state. The report of 2 of these people confirmed that he is infected with Omicron. However, no patients in the state have yet to confirm omicron.
