India did this to help neighboring countries in midst of Corona crisis

India is preparing a Rapid Response Team to help its neighbors in dealing with the worldwide corona epidemic. According to official sources, different rapid response teams are being prepared by India for Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Last month, a Rapid Response Team of 14 members went to Maldives in India to build Corona Testing Laboratory and train medical personnel.

Earlier this month, India sent a 15-member team to Kuwait in the form of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which included health personnel from the army. Three weeks ago, India had presented a consignment of 10 tons of essential life saving medicines to Sri Lanka in view of the Corona crisis. India has assured all possible assistance to all the neighboring countries so that they can help in fighting the epidemic. New Delhi is also playing an important role in advancing a common framework to deal with the crisis.

Earlier, a training program was organized for neighboring countries on the measures to avoid the Covid-19 epidemic, in which Pakistan disappeared. On April 17, 2020, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, a four-session training was conducted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for the risk of corona, measures to avoid it and medical treatment to South Asian countries. Pakistan and Maldives did not participate in this program. All other countries were involved in this and further agreed to run such a program. Other SAARC countries described the event as very beneficial.
