Air Force Plane Carrying 13 Missing After Taking Off From Assam

Itanagar: The Air Force's AN-32 aircraft is said to have suddenly gone missing after flying from Jorhat in Assam to Arunachal Pradesh. aircraft that took off from Assam's Jorhat earlier today with 13 people onboard has gone missing over over hilly terrain in the Northeast.

According to Air Force sources, the plane has eight crew member and five passengers aboard. All available resources are being used to locate the aircraft. At present, no aircraft information has been reported.

Earlier in 2016 AN AN-32 aircraft from Chennai to Port Blair went missing. It was attended by 12 Indian Air Force personnel, 6 crew members, 1 sailor, 1 Army Jawan and 8 member of the same family. A submarine, eight aircraft and 13 vessels were planted in the search. The disappearance of the plane became a kink. It had no debris, no passengers.

The full name of AN-32 is Antonov-32. The military transport aircraft is fitted with two engines. The aircraft can ' take off ' in temperatures of more than 55 °c and has the capability to fly up to a height of 14, 800 feet. The aircraft consists of 5 crew-member including pilot, pilot, gunner, navigator and engineer. It can have a maximum of 50 people aboard.
