Heavy rain in Sept, Delhi-Mumbai still in a state of dispersal

New Delhi: Delhi residents are likely to get relief from the sun, sweat, and scorching heat in the month of September. The month of September has been spectacular in terms of rains in Delhi and the NCR region. In fact, in the first two days alone, many parts of Delhi have received rain, which was a record in itself. Though the rain was not very heavy, the showers for the past two days have brought relief to the people of the state.

According to the MET department, Delhi is expected to receive light rain from today till the day after tomorrow. Subsequently, however, the low pressure developed over the Bay of Bengal is likely to move to central parts of the region. Mumbai has also received good rainfall this month. According to the MET department, the city recorded 108 mm rain on the first day of September itself. Since then, Mumbai has been receiving light to moderate rain movement.

According to the MET department, Mumbai recorded 227 mm rainfall on September 6, more than half of its monthly average of 341.4 mm. Now, according to meteorologists at Skymet Weather, Mumbai is expected to receive heavy rain for the next 48 hours. The city may receive very heavy rain today and tomorrow i.e. 7th and 8th September. State that the low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal can cross the coast and move to the central parts of the country. This is expected to bring heavy rain to Konkan and its surrounding areas. Due to this weather event, Mumbai may receive heavy rain for at least the next two days.
