New Delhi: Even after the tension on the border has reduced, the government has continued to try to hurt China on the economic front. On Friday, the railway public sector undertakings canceled the Rs 471-crore agreement related to the signaling and telecommunications of the Chinese firm due to poor progress.
Earlier on Thursday, the bids of two Chinese companies were rejected from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project. The contract was worth about 800 crores. According to the information, the officials of these companies refused to give the letter of award to these companies. Now this contract will be awarded to the firm bidding at the second lowest rate. The contract was for two sections of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. A few weeks ago, the central government had banned a total of 59 Chinese apps, including the popular Chinese app Tik ToK, Shareight and WeChat citing security and privacy. The demand for a ban on these apps was started long before the conflict with China.
Let us tell you that 20 brave soldiers of our country were martyred in a deadly struggle on the India-China Line of Control (LAC) last month. Since then, the tension between the two countries had increased a lot. As part of the effort to shock China on the economic front, there was a lull in the country of the Boycott of Chinese goods and the government also began to shock China by continuously curbing Chinese imports and trying to get Chinese companies out of government contracts.
