After one and a half years, railways will start selling monthly season tickets (MST) for daily commuters from Thursday. Thereafter, MST holders will be able to travel in four-passenger trains running in Moradabad Railway Division from Friday. Railways had banned the sale and accompanying of MST from 23rd March 2020 after the first wave of the corona. After the second wave of corona subsided, railways have now started operating most of the mail and express trains. Four passenger trains have been operated in the division.

Passengers with confirmed reservation tickets in the same express trains are allowed to travel. Passenger trains have the facility to travel with general tickets. There was a constant demand from daily commuters to restore MST facility. In view of the convenience and demand of daily commuters, Deputy Chief Commercial Manager (DB) of Northern Railway P Singh has sent a letter to all divisional railway managers on Wednesday night. It said MST sales should start from all stations on Thursday. Passengers holding MST will be able to travel by train from Friday.

This facility will be available in four pairs of passenger trains in the Moradabad Division, which will enable MST holders to travel in Moradabad-Saharanpur Passenger, Gajraula-Najibabad Passenger, Bareilly-Delhi Passenger, Sitapur-Kanpur Passenger. Ten pairs of passengers in Ferozepur Railway Division, 33 pairs of passengers in Delhi Railway Division, five pairs of passengers in Lucknow Railway Division, four pairs of passengers in Ambala Railway Division will be able to travel by MST in trains. The letter does not say what the fare for SST will be. MST holders cannot travel in mail express.
