India's G-20 presidency a matter of pride for all citizens: Gehlot

Jaipur: Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, said on Friday that the country should be proud of itself for holding the G20 presidency and that every prime minister since India's independence has helped the country advance.

Gehlot was addressing a meeting through video conference on Friday from the Chief Minister's house to a meeting about the G20 Summit that was presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After independence, India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, gave ideas of global welfare such as the "Panchsheel principle" and the Non-Aligned Movement, he said. The Non-Aligned Conference was also held in India. He said that the chairmanship of the G-20 is a matter of pride for the country.

The Chief Minister noted that the member countries of G-20 have a large share of the world's economy and population. It is an excellent venue for showcasing the nation's culture on a worldwide scale. He said, this international conference will forever change how the world views Indian culture and serve as a catalyst for making the next ten years India's decade.

The Prime Minister has given instructions for recording all G-20 events during the summit, using the G-20 Sherpa meeting in Udaipur as an illustration so that they might be used in future meeting.

He acknowledged his appreciation for the preparations made by the state of Rajasthan for the G-20 Sherpa summit in Udaipur, including the hospitality, regional cuisine, and traditional Rajasthani methods of welcoming the sherpas.
During the meeting, the Sherpas praised the excellent use of information technology in digital transactions in Rajasthan. It was highlighted in the presentation that Rajasthan has set high standards in organizing G-20 conferences, which are inspirational for other states.

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Governors, Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of various states were present.
