In the second match, India's top-ranked women's singles player Ankita Raina won 6-1, 6-2 over Aldila Sutjiadi and also gave India an unassailable 2-0 lead over Indonesia. Then in the last doubles match, the Indian duo of Riya Bhatia and Soumya Bavisetti lost to Jesse Rompies and Aldila Sutjiadi 6-4, 7(9)-6(7), 2-6 in a 3-set clash.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, India had to face a 3-0 defeat at the hands of China and Japan in their first two matches. With the win over Indonesia, India is at the fourth position in the points table with one win in 3 matches. Japan and China have come out at the top after winning all three of their matches.
