PARIS: The Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) has entered into a partnership with United World Wrestling (UWW) to boost the development of wrestling in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Paris at the Wrestling House, a venue located on a boat near the Eiffel Tower. This collaboration aims to advance the sport through a range of joint initiatives and programs.

Parth Jindal, Founder of IIS, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement. "We are excited to work with United World Wrestling to elevate India's wrestling programs. India has a rich history of producing top wrestlers, and this partnership will help us achieve even greater success," Jindal said.

The MoU focuses on preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games in 2028 and 2032 by nurturing talent and developing quality coaches. IIS has already made significant contributions to Indian wrestling, with athletes like Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik achieving Olympic success.

Recent IIS trainees include Antim Panghal and Nisha Dahiya, who both won bronze medals at the World Championships and competed in the Paris Olympics. The institute also supports promising young wrestlers, such as Dhanshri Fand and Nitika, who have excelled at the U20 Asian Championships.

Looking ahead, four IIS athletes are set to compete at the U20 World Championships in Spain: Harshita, a former U20 World Championships medalist, Jaskaran Singh, a U17 world medalist, U23 Asian champion Radhika, and Nikhil Yadav.
