NEW DELHI: In an effort to foster global collaboration and advancement in the field of green hydrogen, the Government of India has taken the initiative to organize the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2023). Scheduled to take place from the 5th to the 7th of July 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, this conference aims to bring together esteemed members of the scientific and industrial communities from around the world. Together, they will engage in comprehensive discussions about the latest breakthroughs and emerging technologies in the entire value chain of green hydrogen.

This significant event is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, and the Office of Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India.

At the core of this conference lies the fundamental objective of establishing a robust Green Hydrogen ecosystem and fostering a systematic approach towards achieving global decarbonization goals through the utilization of Green Hydrogen. Alongside in-depth research interactions dedicated to hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and downstream applications, the conference will delve into important aspects such as green financing, human resource upskilling, and startup initiatives in this domain. During a curtain raiser press conference for the international conference, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, emphasized the importance of outreach and industry partnership within the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The Secretary highlighted the integral role that industry plays across the value chain, including production, distribution, and storage. He expressed that the conference serves as a platform to bring together brilliant minds, fostering solutions and strengthening the national green hydrogen ecosystem.
