Indian Space Research Organization is making the country proud by achieving the periodic milestone. Going ahead on the road, now the organisation is planning to place 83 satellites in orbit that too with a single rocket. If they will be able to do it then it will become the world record as none of the space organisation has done this before.

"During the first quarter of 2017, we plan to launch a single rocket carrying 83 satellites. Most foreign satellites are nanosatellites," Rakesh Sasibhushan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Antrix Corporation said.

He added that as all 83 satellites need to be placed in a single orbit hence there will be no actual switch on or off for the rocket. Now the challenge will be to keep the rocket within the orbit until all the satellites are placed successfully. He said ISRO will use its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-XL (PSLV-XL) rocket variant for the record launch.

Placing multiple satellites with a single rocket is not a new thing for Indian space program as they have done the similar action in the past as well. The company's order book stands at Rs. 500 crores while negotiations are on for launch order for another Rs. 500 crores.
