Srinagar: Security has been beefed up in the Kashmir Valley following the recent ID killing of outsiders by terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Search operations have been intensified especially in the capital Srinagar. Officials have suspended mobile internet services in parts of Srinagar's old city and south Kashmir districts while reducing internet speed in some areas. This month, 11 people have been killed by terrorists in Kashmir. Tell us that CRPF personnel are on duty round the clock to ensure the safety of non-Kashmiris and Kashmiris.

Officials said several meetings have been held to review the security. The number of security forces has been increased around key locations like secretariats and airports. Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official said, "After such attacks, there is a clear need to increase security. Where we considered it necessary, we have beefed up security. The assistant commander of the CRPF said, "CRPF is responsible for protecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are working round the clock, checking trains, taking care of security arrangements at various places and also enhancing the sense of security among the people.''

He further said, "Security has been beefed up here after the recent killing of civilians. We are searching the trains and also searching the public. Moreover, we are trying to make people feel that they are safe here.''
