Srinagar: A grenade attack has been reported in Nad Naka area of Samba in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. However, no casualty or injuries have been reported here. The search operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police is on. More details are awaited in the matter.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the operation to wipe out the terrorists is also going on in view of their destruction. Last Tuesday alone, there was an encounter between militants and security forces at Velu in Kokernag area of Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists of lashkar-e-toiba were trapped in the encounter. The trio was later killed.

On Sunday, police and army jointly launched a major crackdown on terrorists in tail adjoining the Line of Control (LoC). A large quantity of weapons were recovered here. With this, the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir foiled a major terrorist attack. Security forces had recovered 19 hand grenades from a terrorist hideout in Poonch.
