Two militants killed, Indian Army major injured in Baramulla encounter

Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, encounters have been going on between security forces and militants in Baramulla district since this morning. Security forces were reported to have been hiding three terrorists in the area after which a search operation was launched.  As per the information received, two terrorists have been killed by security forces in the ongoing encounter so far. Army major Rohit Verma has been injured during the encounter. They have been shifted to 92 base hospitals.

Security forces were reported to have been hiding two to three terrorists in Yedipora Pattan. The security forces then launched the search operation. In the meantime, the militants started firing at the security forces. According to reports so far, 2 terrorists have been killed while another terrorist is still hiding in the area and firing at security forces. The firing is still going on from both sides. According to information, indian security forces had received intelligence inputs on Friday morning that some terrorists were hiding in the Yedipora area of Baramulla's Patton. Major Rohit Verma was injured in cross firing, which has been admitted to the Army hospital.

According to information, Indian security forces had received intelligence inputs that some terrorists were hiding in the Yedipora area of Patton in Baramulla. Based on intelligence inputs, Indian security forces started gheraoing the area with the help of a CRPF team and local police. As soon as the search operation was launched in the area, the militants started firing. Earlier, the terrorists were asked to surrender, but the terrorists continued firing. The security forces also had to shoot.
